How to Approve a Leave Request

Approving leaves is a daily task of Human Resources (HR) employees and managers. When a leave was requested by Leave Kiosk the leave approver will receive an email with the details of the leave request. When a HR person added a leave on the Roster, there are two ways to approve a leave request: by the Pending Leave Requests section and by the calendar.
This article will introduce HR employees and leave approvers how to use roster for approving a leave.

Step-By-Step Guide

Approving a leave can be done by two ways

Follow these steps to achieve this.

1. Click on the Roster icon

 

 

Approve a Leave Request by the Pending Leave Requests Section

1. Double click on the pending leave in the "Pending Leave Requests" section (on the bottom of the screen). This opens the Edit Leave form

When the "Pending Leave Requests" section is collapsed click on the double arrows on the right side of the bar to expand the section (see below).
 

2. Approve or Decline the leave request. Click Save & Close

When a leave is approved a green tick will appear in the right side of the leave in the Roster.
 
When a leave will be declined the approver required to provide a reason why the request is denied (see below a Confirm Decline form).
 
When the leave is declined a red X will appear in the right side of the leave in the Roster.
 

 

Approve a Leave Request by the Calendar

1. Find the pending leave in the calendar

 

2. Edit the leave request

There is two way to edit a leave request by a double click or a right click. See the details below.

2.1 Double click on the leave request. This opens the Edit Leave form

 

2.2 Right click on the leave request. This opens the Edit Leave form

A user can delete the leave request or edit the user details by right clicking on a leave. See more information in the "Delete a leave" and "Edit user details" sections.

3. Approve or Decline the leave request. Click Save & Close
